I just found out Tom passed a way when I saw his name listed in the Marian Central Magazine in the "In Memoriam" section. Tim was one of my classmates in the Class of 1965, and I remember him fondly. He was in my classes and on the sports teams when I was a cheerleader and in some of the school musicals with me. He was a funny guy, mischievous, and sometimes sarcastic; he was also well liked and quite popular. I was sorry to see that he passed away at a relatively young age. I am not surprised that he put up quite a fight. Good going, Tom. Rest in peace now.

Tom was a wonderful friend and the definition of a great member of the University Club. He made each member feel important through his great enthusiasm for conversation - with everyone. I was glad to know Tom for 17 years. Our thoughts and prayers are with Susan and Tom's family. Bill and Tomoko Florida

I am so sad to hear about the passing of Tom. My deepest condolences to his wife and family. I knew of Tom at St. Joe's, where he was a class year ahead of me and a popular guy on campus. We got to know each other better after St. Joe's through our mutual friend Tom Madison. We would see each other more frequently when Tom and his beautiful wife and family lived in Beverly Hills, Michigan. His hearty laugh and handsome Irish face are etched in my memory. I only regret that we did not continue to stay in touch and especially since I now learned that he lived in Hinsdale, which I frequent very regularly to visit with my daughter and her family. God rest your soul Tom! You will be missed.

I haven´t seen Tom since high school but I did connect with him on Facebook a couple years ago. We talked about getting together, but I never made it to Chicago. I regret that we didn´t connect. He was an amazing man. I will be praying for him the chaplet of Divine Mercy, for his eternal reward in heaven.
May God bless you and your family

I happily knew Tom from his many years with St. Joseph's College. When he started teaching in our MBA program he would stay overnight and often invited me to have a drink with him to end the day. He genuinely wanted to know how I was doing and was a great support. Fr. Bill Stang

I have memories of Tom in 2 different contexts. We served on a number of commitees together at University Club, where Tom was always an enthusiastic and wonderful contributor. I also served at Rebuild Together, where we had worked to bring volunteer crews together to help neighbors in some of challenged areas of the city spruce their houses up a bit, bringing a brightness to the neighborhood. And I'd say, that these 2 contexts in which I knew Tom were emblematic of the kind of fine guy that he was. Ready to help. Enthusiastic about doing so and leaving everyplace he went a little brighter because he had been there.

Tom was one of those St. Joe guys who I could always depend on and look up to, both during my St. Joe years (1967-71) and right up through the past few years. May it comfort his family to know that there are hundreds -if not thousands- of his friends out there who are thinking very fondly of him right now. Rest in Peace, Puma.

Heartfelt thoughts and prayers are coming your way as I have sadly learned of the passing of my cousin Tom. Being the wee bit older cousin to Tom's brother, Gene, it was fun to see that Tom grew to look so much like his brother and to be just as fun-loving! While the loss of someone as special as Tom is terribly painful, we are blessed with years of personal memories that we hold in our hearts.
God's love and peace to all,
