Thomas Oberloh Obituary

Thomas Edward Oberloh, 84, of Woodland, passed away Friday (Sept. 30, 2022) at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

He was born Oct. 9, 1937, in Milford, the son of Edward and Anna (Hurling) Oberloh. His parents preceded him in death. Thomas married Donna Drover on Jan. 7, 1962, in Woodland. She survives.

In addition to his wife, Donna Oberloh, of Woodland, he is survived by two daughters, Tracy (Gary) Giroux, of Woodland, and Cathy (Jeff) Anderson, of Milford; one daughter-in-law, Theresa Oberloh; seven grandchildren, Baillie Nichols, Katelyn Barrett, Ian Anderson, Kyle Giroux, Jarren Oberloh, Caden Giroux and Hadlie Oberloh; two great-grandchildren, Bradley Barrett and Stokely Nichols; one brother, Bill Oberloh, of Texas; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents; two brothers, Robert and Ronald; and two sons, Brad and Ricky.

Tom served in the U.S. Army National Guard.

He was a member of the Woodland Methodist Church.

Tom was a Woodland Fire Department volunteer for over 40 years.

He enjoyed fishing, bottle collecting, hunting and loved taking his grandchildren outdoors with him.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4, at Baier Funeral Home in Watseka. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5, also at the funeral home, with the Rev. Gail Meyers officiating. Burial will follow in Body Cemetery in Woodland, with graveside military rites by Watseka American Legion Post 23 and Iroquois County VFW Post 7450.

Memorials may be made to the Woodland Fire Department.
