Thomas Edward Oberloh, 84, of Woodland passed away on Friday, September 30, 2022 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
Tom was born on October 9, 1937 in Milford, the son of Edward and Anna (Hurling) Oberloh and they preceded him in death. He married Donna Drover on January 7, 1962 in Woodland and she survives.
Besides his wife, Donna Oberloh of Woodland, he is survived by two daughters, Tracy (Gary) Giroux of Woodland and Cathy (Jeff) Anderson of Milford; seven grandchildren, Baillie Nichols, Katelyn Barrett, Ian Anderson, Kyle Giroux, Jarren Oberloh, Caden Giroux, and Hadlie Oberloh; two great grandchildren, Bradley Barrett and Stokely Nichols; one brother, Bill Oberloh of Texas; one daughter-in-law, Theresa Oberloh; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Robert and Ronald; and two sons, Brad and Ricky.
Tom served in the Army National Guard, was a member of the Woodland Methodist Church, and a Woodland Fire Department volunteer for over forty years. He enjoyed fishing, bottle collecting, hunting, and loved taking his grandchildren outdoors with him.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at Baier Funeral Home in Watseka. Pastor Gail Meyers will officiate. Burial will follow at Body Cemetery in Woodland with graveside military rites by Watseka American Legion Post #23 and Iroquois County VFW Post #7450.
Visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at Baier Funeral Home in Watseka.
Memorials may be made to Woodland Fire Department.
