Thomas M. Parker

Thomas M. Parker, age 72, of Clayton, Ga., passed away on Dec. 8, 2025, with his family by his side.
Born in Rabun County, Ga., Tommy was the son of the late J.B. Parker Sr. and the late Bertie Tucker Parker. He was married to the love of his life, Nancy Hollifield Parker, for 53 wonderful years. He loved to attend Joy Baptist Church in Lakemont, Ga., Tommy lived a life centered around faith, family, and love. His family meant everything to him.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son Boone Parker (Lottie); daughter Maria Parker Shirley (Josh); sister, Treasure Parker Benson; sister-in-law Skeet Hollifield; and his cherished grandchildren Kaylee Shirley, Chloe Shirley, and Bodie Parker. Several nieces and nephews also survive him.
He was preceded in death by his brother J.B. Parker Jr.; brother-in-law Ed Hollifield Sr.; nephew Bert Benson; and niece Christiana Benson.
The family will receive friends on Friday, Dec. 12, 2025, from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Beck Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Beck Funeral Home, with Reverend Tony Goss officiating. Interment will follow at Hale Ridge Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Josh Shirley, Ed Hollifield, Bryan Shirley, Isaac Queen, Sean McGahee and Jonathan Long.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Thomas Parker Fund for his grandchildren's college education. An account has been set up at Oconee Federal. Checks may be made payable to Maria Shirley.
