Thomas Robert "Tom" Patterson

Thomas "Tom" Robert Patterson, 84, of Laurens, and husband to Diana Mae Gladden Patterson, passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2025, at his home surrounded by family.
Born in Flint, Michigan on July 18, 1941, he was the son of the late Raymond Edward and Pansy Marie Leukfehr Patterson. Tom retired as a plumber at Walt Disney World Epcot. In his earlier years, he also served in Florida as a youth pastor and worked on the line for GM for 13 years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Michael Edward Patterson (Christine) and Brian Thomas Patterson; grandchildren, Matthew Patterson, Darren Patterson, Kristina Patterson, Brian Patterson II, and Catelynn Launer; great-grandchildren, Kaleb Patterson, Rowan Patterson, Eli Patterson, Kalum Patterson, Clayre Patterson, Oliver Patterson and Callie Launer; a twin brother, Charles Raymond Patterson (Mary Ann) of Clio, MI; a special niece, Carrie Williams (Ken); and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a granddaughter, Lauryn Nycole Patterson.
A memorial service planned by Rabun Creek Baptist Church will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 10, 2026, conducted by Rev. Jayson Payne.
