Thomas Clifton Perkins, 86, of McComb, MS., passed away on Thursday March 5, 2026 at Kings Daughter's Hospital in Brookhaven, MS.

Visitation will be Sunday March 8, 2026 from 12 Noon until services at 2 PM at Hartman-Jones Funeral Home of McComb. Bro. Jeff Frank will officiate and burial will be in Hollywood Cemetery in McComb.

Thomas was born in McComb, MS on May 8, 1939. He is the son of the late, Clinton D. "Cy" and Maude Allen Boyd Perkins.

Thomas was of the Presbyterian Faith and a retired Army Captain who served two tours in Vietnam and one tour in Desert Storm.

Tom Perkins was a devoted family man and active member of his community who found great joy in the simple moments of life. He proudly served as a little league coach, sharing his love of sports while mentoring young athletes. Tom was also involved in the Pike County Little Theatre and the Pike County Arts Council, where he supported the arts and local creativity. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing and spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, especially cheering them on at their sporting events. One of his favorite pastimes was watching football and baseball alongside his loving wife, creating many cherished memories together.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his first wife, Alice Earle Perkins, and, one sister, Dwenda Lee Norman.

He is survived by his wife, of thirteen happy years, Martha Baker Perkins, one son Thomas Clinton Perkins (Connie), two daughters, Pam Woods (Ray) and Amy Stromeyer, one brother Charles O. Perkins (Nancy), one sister Alice Irene Pounders, three grandchildren, Michael Williams, Nickolas Phelps and Zach Stromeyer (Haleigh), six great-grandchildren with numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be the U.S Army Honor Guard.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the U.S Army Relief Fund 2530 Crystal Drive Suite 13161, 13th Floor Arlington, VA 22202
