He lived in the Wellsville area all his life. He graduated from East Liverpool High School in 1966 and entered the U.S. Navy Nov. 29, 1966. Upon discharge from the Navy, he began an apprenticeship with Plumber Pipefitter Local 495. Tom worked as a welder, foreman, steward, and Superintendent for 45 years.
Thomas is survived by his loving wife Patricia Evelsizer who began the adventure of a lifetime when her best friend said "George has a friend,"little did she know it was one of the greatest gifts God could give her. Thomas Persohn made her his wife in May of 1970 , a beautiful adventure began that lasted 55 wonderful , loving years. From this timeless relationship they were blessed with two beautiful daughters, Karen (Corey)Blakeley and Alison Jackson, five grandchildren Hayden, Jaymin and Kennedy Jackson, Brandon and Adison Blakeley as well as 2 great grandsons Kasen and Ryder Jackson. Tom enjoyed working in the garage but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.
A private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family request donations to one of the following organizations. St. Judes Children Hospital, Save The Children, or Longs Run Trinity Presbyterian Church.
