What a wonderful gentleman. He loved everyone and loved to be around people. He was genuinely interested in the lives of his friends and family. He will be greatly missed!

Our hearts and prayers are with the entire Powell family - we loved Dr. Powell <3 always knew everyone's name, their family and opened his house to all. The world just got a little dimmer....but heaven gained a bright star.

I got to know Dr. Tom the "easy" way. My best friend, his brother, and sisters were his patients. I rang a few doorbells for Doc's 1973 mayoral campaign! The last time I saw him was at his brother's wake (Mr. Billy Powell) a short time back. Dr. Tom, even though I was a nobody in his circle of fans, he always had a smile and handshake for me. A wonderful family man, a pro active citizen, and a gentleman. I beg God's Blessing upon his Soul, his Family, his Loyal friends, and all the "grown-up" Girls and Boys he cared professionally for over half a century. Amen.
