Thomas Edward Price

Thomas Edward Price of Anderson, SC passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at AnMed Health Center after a short illness.

Edward was born on January 30, 1953, and was the only son of the late Edward Harold Price and the late Ruth Powell Price.

He graduated from McDuffie High School and began a career as an auto mechanic. Edward had the patience, skill and knowledge to fix any car. Most of the time diagnosing the problem just by listening to a running engine. Edward was a curious man, who loved new experiences and was a certified scuba diver, spending time diving in caves, particularly in Mexico and Florida. Edward found joy in exploring and didn't mind stepping out of his comfort zone. He was a gun enthusiast and enjoyed playing the guitar. Edward loved life and Darlene, his wife of 54 years. She always accompanied him on his adventures.

In addition to his wife, Darlene Harris Price, he is survived by three sisters, Brenda Hughes, Deborah Jennings and Jennie Ruth Brock; his sister-in-law reared in the home, Sandy Lancaster; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will gather on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, from 12:30 pm – 1:30 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home to visit with family and friends. Edward's funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm in the Chapel with Rev. Dale Cross officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
