Thomas P. Rafferty was born in Bridgeport Connecticut on May 19, 1954, to Thomas L. Rafferty (Deceased) and Lucille (Limbert) Rafferty (Deceased). Stepmother, Natalie B. Rafferty (Deceased)

Thomas is survived by his sister, Patricia (Rafferty) Kelly and her husband, Kevin Kelly. Also survived by his nephew, Shawn Kelly and his wife Holly (Barron) Kelly and their children Kaitlin and Ryan, as well as his niece, Erin (Kelly) Fife and her husband Dale Fife and their daughter, Molly. Also survived by many cousins in CT, GA, SC, WA and MA

Thomas graduated Bunnell High School class of 1972 in Stratford, CT. Tom lived in New York City most of his adult life with a brief time in San Francisco, CA. After a very serious illness he moved to Dublin, Ohio to be near his sister, Pat and her family. He has lived in OH since 2008. Tom resided in several Assisted Living facilities and Nursing Homes. Our deepest gratitude to the staff and nurses at Willow Brook Christian Home who provided loving care for him for many years.

Over his lifetime there were many challenges for Tom. His memory is more about the way that his Lord, Jesus Christ rescued, saved, protected and provided for his needs. Tom had a gentle but confident faith that sustained him throughout many difficulties. We rejoice that Tom is with Jesus now.

Services for Tom will be held at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery 9571 Columbus Pike, Columbus, OH (Rt. 23) at 1:00 pm on Monday Jan. 5, 2026 in the chapel.
