Thomas Gerold "Jerry" Rawlins

Jerry was always my go-to guy for relocating gopher tortoises. As lots filled up the displaced gophers found their way to our houses. I´ve hosted them till they were mating age and then off to the preserve they would go. Funny thing, just today I learned that Jerry had passed from life in the body to life in the spirit (he and Beth are across street neighbors), as I observed a mid-sized male gopher munching hibiscus flowers beneath a bush in my front yard. At that moment Beth arrived home and I was able to offer my condolences. When I turned to go home, the gopher was gone. Thanks for the memories Jerry. You and Bill can have some "plane" talks again.
