Tommy was a very dedicated man to his beliefs. He was not only an outstanding football player but an excellent person. Even with his own personal success he never forgot where he came from. He gave back tremendously to the community. He tried extremely hard to make things better for the kids in the community. He will be sorely missed.

I met Tommy Reamon in either 1988 or 1989 while I was recruiting for Virginia Tech. I had come to see his stepson, Dwayne Knight. I can recall the meeting as if it were yesterday. Tommy was sitting at the table eating dinner while I was talking with Dwayne. Later, Tommy mentioned that he already knew Dwayne was planning to come to Virginia Tech. That initial meeting sparked a lifelong friendship with Tommy. He even introduced me to my wife. I will always be grateful to God for allowing our paths to cross.

Coach Reamon! It was the summer of 1989 in Portsmouth. I was a 14 yr old freshman with just 1 yr of JV experience. I answered the phone and heard "it´s Coach Reamon, the new head football coach, can u come to the school and meet with me today?" And for 2 years this man awakened competition and confidence in me that remains today. It´s been 36 years and I can still hear his voice "let´s go gentlemen!!" I had many coaches after him but NONE as impactful and as passionate. There is no doubt, that this man significantly influenced my self esteem and image as a MAN. He instilled his knowledge and love of football to awaken awareness and manhood in teenage boys. I am ONE of MANY!!! SALUTE TO COACH TOMMY REAMON!!! Never forgotten. Remembering this TITAN!!!
