It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Thomas D. Riffle (Tom) who passed away peacefully on November 16th in Sugar Land, Texas, surrounded by his family.

A devoted family man, and respected business leader, Tom leaves behind a legacy of love, integrity, and accomplishment.

Born in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, on June 1, 1938, Tom grew up with strong values and a determined spirit. A graduate of Uniontown High School, he carried the lessons of his early years into every chapter of his life.

Tom was the founder of Elite Marketing in Houston, Texas, an exceptionally successful insurance broker-dealer that continues to thrive today, standing as a testament to his vision, leadership, and unwavering commitment to excellence. Throughout his career, Tom demonstrated a passion for learning and professional development. Between 1961 and 1963, he completed L.U.T.C. I, II, and III, earned his Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation in 1975, and proudly served as President of his local CLU Chapter in 1992, receiving the prestigious Woodson Award for his contributions. Beyond his professional pursuits, Tom was an avid reader, often consuming over 100 books a year, reflecting a lifelong curiosity and love of knowledge.

Although Tom had many professional accomplishments, his greatest joy was his family. He cherished time spent together, especially during summers and winters in Ruidoso, New Mexico, where his treasured family memories were made. His love was steady, deep, and ever-present.

A man of many passions, Tom was an avid golfer and a proud member of Riverbend Country Club for more than 40 years. He also shared a lifelong love of travel with his beloved wife of 64 years, Patricia, exploring the world and creating a lifetime of unforgettable experiences.

Tom is preceded in death by his loving wife Patricia Riffle (Pat). Tom is survived by his three children David D. Riffle, Alan R. Riffle (Victoria), and Tina G. Riffle, and by his three grandchildren, Madison R. Kisseberth (Kevin), Claire E. Riffle, and Chandler R. Gachman. He is also lovingly survived by his daughter-in-law, Victoria Riffle, who remained closely by his side.

In lieu of a traditional funeral, the family will be having an intimate; family only, Celebration of Life at their home.

Tom will be remembered for his gentle strength, unwavering values, intellectual curiosity, and the legacy he leaves in the hearts of those who knew him. May he rest in peace.
