Thomas offered me help when I was a new lawyer and later when I made some treks from federal over to county court.. He didn't wait to be asked for help. When he knew the answer, he shared. Of all the attorneys I met in my career, he was the most giving. I always enjoyed seeing him because he was kind and welcoming. I regret not getting to know him better.
