Thomas Ryan Obituary
ALBANY - Thomas Patrick Ryan, 94, of Albany, passed away peacefully Wednesday, December 10, 2025.
He was born in Rutland, Vt., and was the son of the late Thomas Patrick Ryan and Kathryn Corcoran Ryan. Tom graduated from Mount St. Joseph Academy and Siena College. On November 24, 1956, he married Roberta Cole.
Tom is survived by his wife of 69 years, Roberta; his children, Kathleen France, Kevin (Jeannine) Ryan, Timothy (Susan) Ryan, Mary Dewey and Michael Ryan. He is the father-in-law of Carolyn Ryan. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Tom was predeceased by his parents; his son, Thomas Patrick Ryan III; his sister, Mary T. Kelley; and his companions, Queenie and Bilbo Baggins.
The family would like to thank Tom's VA caregivers, Dr. Fellegi and Nurse Amanda, as well as his AMC nurse, Mikayla, for their kind, gentle and compassionate care.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday December 20, 2025, at 10:30 a.m., at All Saints Catholic Church, Albany. Visitation will be at the church on Saturday from 9 to 10:30 a.m., prior to Mass. Entombment with military honors will be on Monday, December 22 at 1 p.m., at Saratoga National VA Cemetery.
