Thomas Savley Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Spring Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery - Nashville on May 27, 2024.
Mr. Thomas Gerald Savley, a beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on May 21st, 2024, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on August 13th, 1953, in Nashville, Tennessee, he was the son of James W. Savley and Frances A. Woodard Savley.
Thomas was known for his generous spirit and his heart of gold. He had a way of making everyone feel welcome, never meeting a stranger. His infectious laughter brightened the lives of those around him, and he was a true cutup who loved to share a joke or a funny story. He was known for his famous saying, "It's hard to look this good!"
His unwavering faith in the Lord was a cornerstone of his life. Thomas found solace and strength in his relationship with God, and he shared that faith with his loved ones.
Thomas and his devoted wife, Donna Jo, were married for nearly 29 years. Their partnership was a testament to love, commitment, and companionship. Together, they built a life filled with cherished memories and unwavering support for each other.
As we mourn the loss of Thomas, we celebrate the legacy he leaves behind-a legacy of kindness, laughter, and faith. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents James and Frances, Thomas is preceded in death by his brother Jimmy Savley. He is survived by his wife Donna Jo Savley; children Winston and Cherie; grandchildren Dustin, Michelle, Little Winston, Izabella, and Noah; great-grandchildren Katie, Raven, and Serenity; brother Don Savley; sister Arlene Hall; the mother of his children Shirley Wilson; and a host of extended family and dear friends.
A Celebration of Life Funeral Ceremony will be held Tuesday, May 28, 2024, 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home. Visitation will be Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Entombment will follow in the Serenity Chapel Mausoleum.
Final arrangements for Mr. Savley are entrusted to Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery, "Where Nashville Comes to Remember."
