Thomas Sentner Obituary
Thomas Paul Sentner, born on February 21, 1942, in Lynn, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully at his residence on December 8, 2025, at the age of 83, with his beloved wife, Holly, by his side. Thomas and Holly started their relationship as friends in middle school, began dating in high school, and then got married in 1964.
Thomas dedicated 42 years of his life to serving as a sewage treatment plant manager, where his hard work and commitment were deeply respected. Beyond his professional life, he was a devoted family man who cherished every moment spent with his loved ones. He especially enjoyed sharing dinners with his daughter Debbie, creating memories that would last a lifetime.
A devoted supporter of all Boston sports teams, Thomas held a special place in his heart for the Bruins. His passion for sports extended deeply into his community, where he spent many years coaching youth teams, including girls' soccer and boys' hockey. Through his guidance, encouragement, and unwavering enthusiasm, he touched the lives of countless young athletes-none more profoundly than his son, Peter. Thomas coached Peter in Squirts youth hockey when he was just a boy, and later remained his biggest fan, cheering proudly from the stands through many years and many games.
Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, William and Frances Sentner; his daughter, Debbie Sentner; and his two brothers, George and Billy Sentner. He leaves behind his loving wife of 62 years, Holly Phillips Sentner; his son, Peter Sentner, and daughter-in-law, Annette; and his cherished grandchildren, Briana, Madison, Sidney, Emily, and Sophia.
The family will hold additional services at a later date in Swampscott, Massachusetts, where friends and family will gather to honor and remember a life well-lived. Thomas will be dearly missed by all who knew him, but his legacy of love and dedication will endure in the hearts of those he touched.
