My thoughts and prayers are with the Shea family. I worked with Tom and Andrew at the Butchers' Wax Co. in the 1980's. Tom was one of the nicest people I ever met and was always there for guidance and support. RIP and see you on the other side.

Dear Shea Family,

Our hearts break for you. Please accept our deepest and heartfelt condolences.

Tom, who I will forever remember as "Coach Tom," holds a special place in our hearts. To this day I can still remember Sykesville practices and games like they were yesterday. Crab crawls, bear crawls, hills, and pushing the sled. Just a few of our favorite things! That one time I missed one too many practice long snaps, resulting in crab crawls for the whole line (my bad fellas). The time I won the "sliding competition" and got to direct the sled. Unforgettable memories and lessons learned.

Coach Tom taught us that hard work combined with teamwork and grit could take us very far. It´s funny the things we take with us through life. A couple of things that have always stuck with are Coach Tom´s training advice and the moments of joy and triumph we shared on the gridiron. He pushed us and expected nothing but our best effort. We are better men and people for it. A true leader! I still hold onto his lessons and guidance to this day.

Even better, as I got older and came of age, Coach and I got to share drinks, meals, laughter and more memories together. He was nothing short of charismatic and jovial. You knew when he stepped into the room right away. A big smile, contagious laughter, and a handshake that may leave you needing a bag of ice if you wanted to test your meddle against his. Larger than life! He will be sorely missed. We will honor his memory.

Please let us know if we can do anything to help during this difficult time. We love you guys.
