Thomas James "Tom" Shephard

On January 10, 2023, Thomas J. Shephard died peacefully in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He was 81 years old.
He met Barbara in the twelfth grade at West Allis Central High School and in 1962 they were married. Within 2 years they started a family complete with Kelly, Penny, and Scotty. Being a kind and dependable father was the utmost importance to Tom. He also had a voracious sense of humor and loved to joke with his children, family, and friends. He certainly did not disappoint when it came to providing fun, laughter, and whole heartedly loving his family.
Tom is survived by his wife Barbara (nee Schultz); his children Kelly (Lance) Edwards, Penny (Scott) Hoppe, and Scott Shephard; his grandchildren Nick and Shauna Hoppe, Anna Jane and Madeline Edwards, and Troy Shephard; great- grandchildren Nicholas and Elizabeth, and sisters Jeri Schadrie and Vicki Shephard. Preceded in death by his parents James and Evelyn Shephard.
Tom's passion was wood working and loved creating pieces of art for family and friends. His worked was recognized by Creative Woodworks & Crafts in a 2008 publication. He also won several awards and accolades for his pieces at Wisconsin State Fair. These unique pieces of art will be treasured by friends and family for years to come.
No service is immediately planned. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. The family will notify loved ones in the future and this site will be updated.
