Tom was my first professor when I returned to college at MSSC in Joplin after a 10+ year hiatus. It was 1988 and an election year at that. He made learning fun and I took as many of his classes as I could. He was a wonderful man and my sympathy goes to his family who I know will miss his wit and wisdom!
