Funeral services for Thomas Earl Smith will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Saturday, May 17th, at Greens Creek Baptist Church in Carson Mississippi. Interment will follow at Greens Creek Church Cemetery. Mr. Smith, age 75, passed away Sunday, May 4, 2025, at Richard A. Anderson State Home in Pearland, TX.
Visitation for Mr. Smith will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2025, beginning at 1:00 PM until the hour of service at 2:00 PM.
Mr. Smith is originally from Carson, MS and attended Bassfield High School. Afterwards, he joined the US Marine Corps and served in Vietnam. He was injured in combat and Honorably Discharged with a Purple Heart. His occupation was a truckdriver working for several logistic companies around Houston, TX. He loved spending time with his family, attending gospel music concerts and enjoyed being outdoors fishing. He was of the Baptist Faith.
Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his parents, Cassie and Ethelrine Smith; brother Clark Smith; sister Eva Stringer; and brother Joe Smith; grandson, Christian Thomas Holley.
He is survived by wife, Sharon Smith of Livingston, TX; daughter, Lisa Holley and husband Jimmy of Kingwood, TX; son, Thomas (Smitty) Smith and wife Debbie of Purvis, MS; daughter, Lori Kratzer and husband Billy of Orange, TX; sister, Gwendloyn Sue Smith of Livingston, TX; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
