I loved Tom and have many happy memories with him. I especially loved canoeing on the Delta. What a loss.

I remember Tom as always easy to be around whether in casual conversation or in shared activities. One example that has stuck with me was his inviting me to meet Oodles, your four legged companion who was a puppy when I met him. His remembering that I'm a real dog lover and making that invitation was just one example of who he was.
