Col Thomas Benedict Spalding

How could an orphaned little boy grow up to be such a good father? My Dad was exceptional in every aspect of his life, but especially as a father to his kids,and husband to their Mom. Theirs was a union that inspired strong marriages for all their daughters. I am so lucky to have had him as my Dad.

We have such wonderful memories of Tom and the times spent together. A truly remarkable man, husband and father. An American. It was an honor and privilege to have known you. You will be missed. Deepest sympathies and prayers to Ann and family.

Tom was an officer and a gentlemen, a hero that fought for our country through many wars. We were very proud to have known him. May he rest in peace.
