Sprague, Thomas J., Jr. of Quincy, died November 18, 2025.
Tom was an award winning swimmer for the YMCA growing up, traveling all over New England and broke multiple records. He enjoyed basketball, playing cards, and was an avid Boston sports fan. He started his career working for Joseph Pollock when he was 17 and stayed up until his retirement. Tom always had a sense of humor, no matter what he was going through, and enjoyed giving people a hard time. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Loving son of the late Thomas J. Sprague, Sr. and Eleanor (Rund) Sprague. Cherished father of Stephanie Sprague and her husband Branko Matijasevic of Quincy and Jessica Stearns and her husband Carlo of Alameda, CA. Devoted brother of Holly Picardi of Stoughton, Shirley Sprague and her partner George McCarthy of Boston, Jeff Sprague and his wife Sandra of Braintree, and the late Cynthia Forrest and Kenneth Sprague. Loving Grandpa of Armand, Milan, and Caspian; and uncle of Daniel (Kim), Louis (Kelly), Rachel, Christopher and Colin.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Sunday 11/23/2025 from 1-4 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY followed by a funeral home service at 4 PM. Cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in Tom’s memory may be made to the American Stroke Association, PO Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284.
