Thomas Edward Stammen

My most memorable thoughts & feelings about Tom were created from the amazing stories his brothers shared about the wonderful times they had together. The love they had for him was special & felt in the hearts of many. RIP Tom Stammen and blessings to Jo Ellen and the family.

Sue and I are sorry to learn of your tremendous loss. We have fond memories of your loving and talented family when we lived on Walnut Street. Attached is a photo of our family that includes Garrett with his five sons and Mariel with her two sons. Jordan is a bachelor and recently returned from New Zealand after living there for 20 years.

Tom and I fished together many times over the years and one time stands out as my all time favorite. We went to the Roach River for the weekend and on day one fished without much success. After dinner we walked over to the bridge to watch other fishermen in the pool. One fisherman was directly below us in the river. Four Mergansers were winging toward us. Three elected to fly over the bridge and the fourth hesitated smacking into the bridge landing in the water right beside the fisherman. The look he gave us was hilarious thinking we had somehow thrown the duck at him. Tom was a wonderful friend and the love of fishing brought us together many times.
