Thomas F. Stenshorn

Thomas F. Stenshorn passed away on August 17, 2023, at the age of 63. Born on October 17, 1959, in Rochester, NY, Thomas was the son of the late Frank and Ethel Stenshorn.
Tom cherished the moments spent with his loved ones and created lifelong memories during family trips, cookouts, camping adventures, and joyous Thanksgiving "Turkeyday" celebrations.
Described as a workaholic with an admirable work ethic, he found fulfillment in his role as the Head Custodian for the Gananda Central School District in Gananda, NY. It was only a few weeks after retirement that he returned just for the love of the job. Tom's commitment extended beyond his professional life, as he selflessly served his community as a volunteer firefighter in Egypt, NY for many years.
Tom is survived by his wife of 24 years, Bernadette; children: Sue (Steve), Chris (Stephanie), Heather (Gregory), Matthew (Annie), Sarah, Elizabeth (Cody), Bryan and Samantha; ten grandchildren; his brothers, Mark (Janice), Rick, and his late brother Dennis (Irene); lifetime friend of 55 years, Jon; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends
Tom had a deep affection for animals, taking in and caring for any that needed rescuing. He leaves behind his beloved pets, Penny, Sadie, Ashes and Coco. In his honor, continuing care for all the animals who need us, donations may be made in his name to the local animal shelter of your choice.
A Celebration of Tom's life will be held at a later date.
