I have so many pleasant memories of my late father-in-law, Tom. So many highlights like when he and Janet decided to come along with Ellen and I for our elopement wedding to Vermont. I guess maybe he just wanted to make sure she was really getting married! One of my favorite stories from Tom was about the time he and his young friend (they were 8 or 9 ), inspired by Tarzan movies, decided to sail off to Africa via the Delaware River. They secretly built a raft in the garage, packed lunch and started to lug the raft down to the river. Fortunately, the raft fell apart even before they made it down to the river so they trekked back home. Finally, to the dismay of teleworkers worldwide, Tom thought there was no problem that couldn't be solved by calling 1-800 and spent many, many hours frustrating them. God bless and rest in peace.
