Tom was born June 17, 1950, to Edward and Wilma (Kahler) Stimka in Sidney, NE. He and Carol were married in 1967 and welcomed a daughter Angie in 1968, and then their son Scott in 1971. Angie was the apple of his eye and Scott became his best friend and hunting and fishing companion. Tom was a long-time roofer and in 1983 he started his roofing company, Tom's Roofing. At first it was him and Bill Young for many years and then he, Scott and Carol formed a partnership which continued until his retirement in 2019. We are not sure how many shingles they replaced over the years, but it was many. Later on, he started repairing flat roofs also. He had many loyal customers over the years, which he appreciated very much.
He was so proud of all his grandkids and enjoyed watching them play sports. He took them all fishing and hunting. Everyone enjoyed breakfast at the goose pit even if the geese were not flying. He was smart, strong, kind, and witty. He will be missed.
Tom is survived by his wife Carol of Sidney, NE, Daughter Angie (husband Mark) Harrison of Cheyenne, WY, son Scott (wife Luella) of Sidney, NE, his grandchildren, Colby (wife Niki) Harrison of Cheyenne, WY, Logan (fiancé Laura) Harrison of Cheyenne, WY, Jaydn (husband Bryan) Wagner of Gillette, WY, and Jordan Stimka of Sidney, NE. Great-Grandchildren Emmett and Maycee Harrison of Cheyenne, WY, and brother Randy Stimka of Sidney, NE.
