Thomas "Tom" Sutton

Thomas P. "Tom" Sutton, age 76 of Glen Dale, WV passed away Saturday, November 15, 2025 at Moundsville Health Care Center, Moundsville, WV.
He was born February 10, 1949 in Glen Dale, WV the son of the late David R. and Annette Miller Sutton.
He graduated from Union High School and WVU and was a member of the Glen Dale United Methodist Church.
Tom retired from the City of Moundsville after 38 years of service as the Recreational Director and was a past employee with WesBanco Arena for 32 years.
A true Mountaineer, Tom never missed rooting on any WVU sports team. An avid lover of music, he enjoyed listening to all styles of music and attended many concerts.
Tom was also known by his nick name "Slow Chicken", and he enjoyed spending time with his friends, whether it be at a WVU game or The Warsaw, a place he truly loved and really, he never got over its closing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, David Sutton.
Survivors include his daughter, Katie (Sam) Williams of Glen Dale; his three grandchildren, Brody and Brynn Williams, and Shane Williams; his two nieces, Melissa and Kristen, a nephew, David and many dear friends.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday from 11am until the time of the Funeral Service at 1pm at Grisells Funeral Home & Crematory, 400 Jefferson Avenue, Moundsville, WV with Pastor Jonathan Moon officiating.
Interment will follow at Belmont Memorial Park, Bellaire, OH.
