Thomas O. Tacker

Tom Tacker, 79, of Whitehall, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family, on July 25, 2025. Born on July 18, 1946, Tom was the beloved son of the late Leroy and Anna Tacker. He grew up with strong family values that stayed with him throughout his life.

Tom proudly served in the United States Marine Corps and then went on to dedicate 35 years as a volunteer firefighter. He was a life member of the Hokendauqua Fire Company. He was also a life member of the West Catty Fire Company, the Coplay American Club, and the Saegerbund, where he built friendships and contributed to his community.

Tom was married to the love of his life, Judy Bult, for 43 wonderful years. He had three children: Denise Round, Thomas Tacker, and the late Michael Tacker; and three stepchildren: Lora Harrison, Shirley Bult, and the late Scott Bult. Tom was the proud grandfather of 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his two dear sisters, Delores and Caroline.

Tom was known for his hard-working nature, his deep love for his family, and his adventurous spirit. He especially loved camping, visiting amusement parks, particularly Knoebel's and the Bloomsburg Fair, and taking long drives through the scenic backroads of Pennsylvania. He looked forward to the Fireman's Association Parade every year. But what he loved the most was watching all the Phillies and Eagles games with Judy. His stories, laughter, and presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A calling period will be held on Thursday July 31, 2025 from 11 am - 1 pm at t the Brubaker Funeral home located at 327 Chestnut St, Coplay. A funeral service will commence at 1 pm in the parlor. Interment to follow at Coplay cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his honor may be made directly to the Hokey Fire Department or to the family.
