He was a foreman for the Walsh Bros. Construction Company in Boston until he retired in 1997 with 30 years of service. After retirement and being an avid golfer, he went to work at the River Bend Country Club in Bridgewater as the assistant manager.
He was a member of the Carpenters Union Local 22 and the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks in Brighton. He had previously served on the Walpole King Philip Youth Hockey Board. He coached and was the former Coach Coordinator for the Walpole Little League. He was very active in both the Walpole Basketball and Hockey Booster Clubs.
Beloved husband of Kathleen "Kathy" (Cosby) Tempesta. Loving father of Thomas Tempesta of Walpole and Michael Tempesta of Walpole. Devoted Son of Mary (Collela) Tempesta of Florida and the late Carlo Tempesta. Brother of Carl Tempesta of Walpole, and Rosemary Poldoian of Flagler Beach, Florida. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Mass of Chrisitan Burial that will be celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Church East Street (Route 27) at Diamond Street on Monday, February 14, 2011 at 10:00 AM. Visiting hours are Sunday, February 13, 2011 from 3-8PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. Interment will be private. Memorial donations may be made to: American Diabetes Association 330 Congress St # 501, Boston, Massachusetts 02210.
