Thomas “Tommy” Franklin Terry, 77, of Gray Court, passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at Greenville Memorial Hospital. Tommy was born on November 19, 1946, in Laurens County, SC, a son of the late John Furman Terry and Mary Lynch Terry.
Tommy retired from Cryovac after 25 years of dedicated and faithful service. He was a huge fan of the South Carolina Gamecocks and loved watching NASCAR races, rooting for Dale Earnhardt and then Chase Elliott. Tommy’s greatest joy came from spending time with his family celebrating whatever the day would bring!
He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Debbie Anne Bright Terry; sons, Shannon Isham (Pamela) and Shawn Isham (Rebecca); his daughter, Heather Pleasant (Chad); his grandchildren, Damein, Christian, Megan, Emily, Charlotte, Matthew, Abbie, Chase and Greycie; two great-grandchildren, Odessa and Laela; his sisters, Elsie Martin, Nellie Brock and Brenda Vaughn; and his brother, Richard Terry. Along with his parents, Tommy was predeceased by a grandson, Korey Isham and 9 brothers and sisters.
The family will receive friends from 1:30-2:45 p.m. Friday, August 23, 2024, at Floyd’s North Church Street Chapel, 235 North Church Street, Spartanburg, SC 29306. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. Friday, in the chapel, conducted by the Rev. Andy Case.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a favorite charity.
