Thomas Frank Tickle

Thomas Frank Tickle, 61 of Narrows, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 12th, 2016. A lifelong resident of Giles County, he was born on March 18th, 1954 and was the son of the late Frank Augustus and Evelyn Marie Scott Tickle. In addition to his mother and father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Deborah Ann Tickle. Tommy was a retired employee of Celanese in Narrows with 31 years of service, and the owner of Tickle Heating and Air Conditioning, Inc. for 28 years. He was also a member of Intermont Lodge #269 A.F. & A.M of Narrows for over 30 years, most recently serving as Past District Deputy Grand Master in 2015. A loyal and hard worker who went over and above to serve his customers and his community, Tommy will be deeply missed throughout Giles County and beyond. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 42 years, Loretta Neely Tickle; two sons, Thomas Michael Tickle and wife Pamela of Narrows and Thomas Jason Tickle and Stephanie Woodyard of Narrows; two grandchildren, Thomas Michael Tickle, Jr. and Tessa Michelle Tickle; a brother, Gary Tickle and wife Rhonda of Ripplemead; a sister-in-law, Barbara Spangler and husband Lester of Easley, South Carolina; three nieces, Heather Tickle, Karen Harbin and husband Brian, and Laura Ward; two nephews, Chad Tickle and wife Amanda, and Randall Neely; a great niece, Caitlyn Tickle; three great nephews, Colson Tickle, William Holman, and John Harbin; and numerous cousins and friends, along with his canine companions, Molly, Keely, and Missy. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 17th, 2016 at 1 PM at First United Methodist Church in Narrows. Burial will follow in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at First United Methodist Church Tuesday from 5 to 9 PM. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, please consider the Thomas F.
