I don't think I could say it any better than my original entry. Will always remember Tom the way I said it. He was fine man, true gentle man - as long as I'm alive, and others that knew him--he will be remembered with love, respect and admiration for him and the time we were fortunate to have him in this world..... A dear soul. My own memories of "Mill Power Supply" (prior to it being Duke Power)-Church St., Charlotte, NC. Having signed on with Kelly Girl in Jan. 1979, my first assignment was to work for two weeks as Secretary to a Purchasing Agent..Tom Boyd. After 2 weeks, I went in to say goodbye and would miss the job--Tom said "where do you think you're going"..my contract was apparently bought out from KG and I became official employee 4/1/79, my first "real boss" at MPS/DPC. Was still there to set up your retirement party some years later. In 1997, you came back to mine. A lot of folks lucky to call you friend.I'm one of them. When you retired, I remember telling you that I was not your first secretary, maybe not your "best" but I was your "last secretary" ...You will never be forgotten. You are long loved and remembered. Tom Boyd - one of the good guys for sure. Karen Bishop Barrett in central Florida.

We were so sadden to learn of Tom's death.
My husband worked with Tom for many years at Mill Power and I was a vendor. He was always such a kind and happy person. I always enjoyed hearing about his cross country motorcycle adventures with Ginny to visit his aunt in California. They loved life and love each other.
We recently talked with him and he sounded like the same young at heart Tom. He will be missed.
Our sincere sympathy in the loss of your dad and grandfather. He was a great guy. Please let us know when a memorial service will be held in Charlotte. We hope to attend.

We are so lucky to have had the opportunity to meet and spend some time with Tom since his move to Austin. What a wonderful, caring man. He will be greatly missed but we will always cherish those memories of visiting with him, hearing his stories and his warm friendship.

I loved how Tom always took care of his friends here at Brookdale. He was a gentleman and a man of his word. His warmth and kindness was a joy to experience. I am honored to have shared life with him.
I will miss him for sure, and will be joining him someday in heaven. RIP Tom, I love the you I know.

I got to know Tom when visiting my Mother, Frances, at Brookdale Lakeway. Tom, Frances and another resident, Lee, became great friends and were known as "The Three Muskateers." These three were always found in the second floor living room talking, watching TV, watching out for each other and having fun. I soon learned that Tom enjoyed life! When my Mother passed away last March, Tom (and Darlene) were there for my sister and I. I am truly blessed to have known Tom as he was like my second Father. Tom will be truly missed. My prayers and thoughts are with Darlene and family.

to Darlene & Dan & family. My love & prayers are with you at this time. Tom was like a second dad to me. He always called me his little red headed girl. I loved both of your parents so much. Will see you in Charlotte service. Just know that I'm there with you during his service. Love Teresa

It was a joy to visit with Tom at Brookdale Lakeway. He was such a good friend to my mom, Frances, and his warm, gentle personality was respected by all. My sympathy and prayers go out to family and friends.

I was so honored to have met him, his smile made my day. He will be deeply missed by everyone, such a gentleman. I know that he has left a footprint on everyone's life that he touched, but now he is with God, I am sure one of the choosen ones.
