Thomas (Tom) Needham Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Jan. 5 to Jan. 11, 2023.
Thomas (Tom) B. Needham passed away on December 12, 2022, in Bremerton, Washington. He was born in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, to James and Dorothy (Arend) Needham on August 10, 1943. As a child, he and his family left the state of Wisconsin and moved to Sequim, Washington. After graduating from Sequim High School in 1961, Tom enlisted in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany. During this time, he married Gudrun (Gigi) Landau, from the small town of Rodalben, Germany. In 1964, Tom and Gigi moved to the U.S. and began their family in Port Angeles, Washington. Tom and his family moved to Silverdale in 1976, and several years later he began his business as owner and operator of Earthmovers. Tom was highly regarded throughout the community; his integrity, expertise, and warm nature were equally esteemed by all. He married Marcia Adamek in 2016 and lived in Silverdale for his remaining years.

Tom was preceded in death by his wife Gigi in 2013, after nearly 50 years of marriage. He is survived by his four siblings, sisters Holly Wickersham of Tenino and Zoe Bayton of Port Angeles; brothers Bill Needham and Dave (and Chris) Needham of Sequim. He is also survived by his children, Jenny (and Kurt) Hoyt, Heidi (and Kelly) Erickson, Lenora (and Rob) Bradley, Jon (and Ryanne) Needham, Dave (and Shannon) Needham; as well as 11 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and his second wife, Marcia Adamek Needham, all residing in Kitsap County.

Tom was a man of many interests and talents, though nothing surpassed his passion for God, studying scripture, and time in prayer. Consequently, he was an exceptional man, a faithful provider, and a loving father and husband. We mourn our loss, yet abide in hope, peace, and assurance until we meet again in glory.

A celebration of his life will be held at Crossroads Neighborhood Church in Bremerton on February 10th at 3pm.
