Thomas "Tom" Vandenelzen, 73, of Suamico, passed away on June 3, 2023 at St. Vincent Hospital with his wife by his side. He was born in Green Bay, on September 22, 1949 to the late Archie and Rosella (Ashley) Vandenelzen. Tom graduated from Bay Port High School in 1968. He was united in marriage to Kathy Wotruba on February 26, 1972, their marriage was blessed with two sons. Tom worked for Schnieder Tanklines and later Quality Carriers as a Truck driver, retiring in 2013. In his younger years, Tom enjoyed hunting and fishing. Later, Tom and Kathy purchased his parents home and he loved watching the wildlife and riding the golf cart through the woods. He cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren.
Thomas is survived by his loving wife, Kathy, two sons: Christopher and Matthew (Elizabeth"Beth") Vandenelzen; five grandchildren: Jasmine and Emylia, Owen, Jackson, and Lila; two brothers: Ken (Bea) and Robert (Sue) Vandenelzen; brothers and sisters-in-law: Tom Wotruba, Lee Wotruba, Bill (Carla) Wotruba, Cheryl Stumbris, Julie (Craig) Laakso, and Tina (Charlie) Glasso; he is further survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Dan (Kathy) Vandenelzen, parents-in-law, Gerald and Elizabeth Wotruba, one sister-in-law, Kim Wotruba.
Tom's wishes were to be cremated and a celebration of life will happen in the fall.
The family would like to extend a thank you to all the family and friends that helped Tom and Kathy out.
