In memory of
Retired International Captain Rollin A Jackson Jr.
January 5, 2026
As secretary/historian of Delta Golden Wings, Inc, the official retirement organization of Delta, I send condolences to the survivors of Thom. He was "one of us" who enjoyed flying with love many passengers of Delta and his love of off-time with family, personal projects and friends. His past and current friends would all want to express appreciation for his military service to his country as a Navy airman. We hope the following and love of God among his survivors will help bring comfort and peace to each survivor. May all the times you spent with each other be remembered over the years and bring back happy thoughts of those special times together.

My deepest prayers to all of you at this tender, sad time. What a true joy to know and love this dear friend for so many years. It is one of the greatest blessings of my life to love you all and to know that we will spend eternity with precious Tom. May God's peace surround you, Pat and family and comfort you as only He truly can. Much love to you all.

Dear Pat, Becky, Christina, and Tom,
Suzanne and I have so many fond memories with your family, beginning with our honeymoon in June of 1973. We were married in California and were traveling to our family cabin in North Carolina when hunger led us to stop at a Dairy Queen north of Atlanta. There, we met Tom and Pat and had a meaningful, encouraging conversation about the possibility of my working for Delta after leaving the Navy. Not long after, we received a copy of The Christian Family in the mail-a gift that meant more to us than you probably realized at the time.
Following the merger, you graciously allowed us to stay in the barn apartment on the Emu farm as we explored the idea of moving to Georgia. Years later, our son Jaret was invited to the Emu farm with his Auburn roommate, whom Tom later led to Christ.
Along the way were many shared experiences, including a combined family trip to New York City, separate visits to Annapolis, and Army-Navy games, as well as time together at the Bay cottage.
Your beautiful family has been a constant encouragement to our own Christian walk, and that influence has extended to our children-and now even our grandchildren, who continue to benefit from that legacy of faith.
Thank you all. Please know that our prayers are with you as you grieve and process Tom´s passing.
With love and gratitude,
John & Suzanne Earley

Brother Tom, "Vandy" was a close Christian brother, fraternity brother, fellow-Delta pilot, fellow-veteran and all around great friend. Tom was always positive and one of the true fun guys at Ohio State. He will surely be missed.
