Thomas Allen Watt, 80, of Allegheny Township, passed away on Monday, Dec. 29, 2025, in QLS-West Haven Manor, Washington Township. Born June 23, 1945, in New Kensington, he was a son of the late Roy Darwin "Bud" Watt and Laura Belle (Herford) Watt. Tom was a 1963 graduate of Valley High School. He worked as a coal miner for 14 years and then owned and operated A to Z Carpet Cleaners for many years with his wife, Mary Lou. He was well-known as a great singer throughout his life and performed as a Jimmy Buffett tribute artist for 25 years. Tom was a former member of St. James Roman Catholic Church and participated in their former folk group. He grew up in the First Christian Church in New Kensington. Tom loved the outdoors, including hunting, camping, and fishing, and most enjoyed spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Susan Kulick. Tom is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mary Lou (Riedinger) Watt; sons, Anthony R. Watt of Crawford County, PA, Adam T. (Stefani Rock) Watt of Penn Hills, and Zachary W. Watt of Coraopolis; grandchildren, Lily, Collin, and Fiona; siblings, Roy Darwin (Susan) Watt Jr. of Warren, OH, Joyce L. Watt of Tarentum, and Daniel James (Donna) Watt of Allegheny Township; as well as nieces, nephews, and many other family members and "phriends." Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 2, 2026, in CURRAN-SHAFFER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 100 Owens View Ave., Apollo. Additional viewing will be held from 11 a.m. until the celebration of life tribute service at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 3, 2026, in the funeral home. Please join the family as they honor Tom's life.
