On January 27, 2022, after 89 almost 90 years on this earth, Thomas Allen Whitt left his earthly home for his heavenly home to be one of the Lord's Angels and to join his beloved wife, Carol. He was surrounded by his family and lots of love in his final days. Tom was the patriarch of the family. He worked hard to take care of his family and loved being a father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He left his mark on the world and will be missed greatly. He moved from Swords Creek, Virginia to Michigan when he was 21 and worked for 38 years at Ford Motor Company to provide for his family, at times he worked 3 jobs to make sure his children had a good life. His family always referred to him as "The Energizer Bunny." When he wasn't working, he loved gardening and working in his yard; he had a green thumb and could make anything grow. After Carol passed, he was a little lost and missed her greatly, now he is with her and has found his way again. Tom is survived by his, 5 children: Thomas Whitt Jr., Virginia Whitt, Donald Whitt, David Whitt (Elizabeth), and Daniel Whitt (Nichole). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Carol Sue Whitt, parents Jesse and Florence Una May Whitt, brothers Ralph Whitt, Willard Whitt, Don Whitt and Dean Whitt. Tom was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Fowlerville. His memorial is being held there on March 5 at 11:00 am, with a luncheon to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent in memory to the First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 344, Fowlerville, MI 48836.
