Kimmell - Thomas Ray Wilkinson, 80, of Kimmell, Indiana passed away Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at home surrounded by family. Born May 2, 1945, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, he was a son of the late Jeanette Ruth (Clingerman) Douglas and Lawrence O. Wilkinson. He graduated from Wolf Lake High School with the Class of 1963. Immediately following graduation Tom entered the military joining the United States Army. He served in Germany and Korea from 1963-1969. Tom worked as a tool and die maker for various machine shops in Albion, Fort Wayne, Brimfield, and Elkhart. He was a member and past president of Christian Motorcyclist Association Kingdom Cruisers of Albion. Tom was also a member of the Wolf Lake United Methodist Church and the American Legion in North Webster. Tom loved to ride his motorcycle and spend time with his beloved dog Zoey. In the past, he was also an avid golfer. Tom is survived by his daughter, Jody Ray Wilkinson; dog, Zoey; siblings, Donna (Thomas) Reed, Marsha (Stan) Wallace, Michael Douglas, Mary (Allen) Snyder, and Donald (Teresa) Douglas; Jody's mom Carol Ladd; stepdaughter, Staci; nephews and nieces, Thomas (Pamela) Reed, II, Yvonne (Joe) Salazar, Tim (Lillian) Wallace, Dakota Renee Douglas, Michaela (Andrew) Hitchcock, and Paige (Brandon) Barton; great-nieces and nephews, Ashley (Matt Eckard) Weber, Lisa M. (Kanaan) Kochensparger, Allison Hitchcock, Reba Barton, Riley (Teya) Weber, Kameron (Delaney Hare) Salazar, Kaleb Salazar, Randy Hitchcock; great-great-nieces and nephew, Olivia "The Kid" Eckard, Abby Kochensparger, Ellie Kochensparger, and Cohen Beck. Along with his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his sister, Roberta "Bobbie" Wilkinson; and niece, Chandra Hernandez. Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at DeMoney-Grimes Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. Funeral services will be 11:00 am on Thursday, January 15, 2026, with visitation one hour prior also at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be given in memory of Tom to Humane Society of Noble County or Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
