Thomas Edward Wright

Thomas Edward Wright, age 90 of Midland, passed away on Monday April 15, 2024 at his residence. The son of the late James and Maimie (Shauver) Wright was born in Salamonia, Indiana on May 16, 1933. He had been employed with The Dow Chemical Company for over 45 years retiring in 1995. Tom also worked for Conley Security for over 50 years. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening and spending time with his family.
Surviving is his wife, the former Goldie Sysak, of whom he married on June 28, 1986; children Michelle (Mike) Mallek, Tim (Deby) Wright, Dee (Jim) Trader, Nikki (Rick) Strefkirk, Eric (Anna) Stevens; daughter in law, Jeri Wright; grandchildren, Johnny (Kayla) Wright, Amos (Casey) Mallek, Shannon (Raymond) Jordon, Josh (Gabe) Trader, Paul (Brittany) Trader, Dan (Alicia) Trader, Mark Trader, Michelle Haynes, Kaitlin (Casey) Leah, Kelsey (Ryan) Morely; many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by siblings, Roberta Glesner, Joan Glesner, Jim Wright, Kenneth Wright; sons, John Wright, Aaron Stevens; granddaughter, Kari Wright.
Funeral services for Tom will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday April 20, 2024 at Wilson MILLER Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Midland City Cemetery. Family will receive guests at the funeral home on Friday from 4 until 7:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Wounded Warrior Fund.
