Thomas R. “Tommy” Wright, age 79 of Jefferson City, TN, went home to be with The Lord on July 20, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. He was born November 10, 1945. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army having served in Korea. He retired from Nyrstar after 30 plus years. He was a faithful member of Jefferson City Church of Christ.
Preceded in death by son, Jeffrey Wright, parents, Grace Arnott and B.J. Wright, brothers, George and Ray, mother-in-law, Marcella Gibbons, father-in-law, Robert “Bob” Walker, and brother-in-law, Eugene Swann.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Bobbie Wright, sister, Roberta Eldridge of Knoxville, TN, sister-in-law, Janice Swann of Jefferson City, TN, several special nieces and nephews, many friends, and fur baby, Tazer.
A special thanks to David Patterson, Joey Rush, Brad Phillips, and Turkey Creek Medical Center – CCU.
The family expresses their heartfelt gratitude for the prayers, love, and support shown during this difficult time. Our beloved Tommy will be sorely missed – until we are reunited on that beautiful shore.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 24, 2025 at Farrar Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 7:00 p.m. with Minister Phil Adams, Rev. T.H. Ferrell, and Rev. Tony Collins officiating. Family and friends will gather at 10:45 a.m. on Friday, July 25, 2025 at Jefferson Memorial Gardens for an 11:00 a.m. military graveside service.
