Thomas Wright Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Cater Funeral Home on Nov. 10, 2025.
Thomas "Tom" Wright, 73, of Moberly, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 7, 2025. He was born on April 3, 1952, in Moberly, MO, to Jack and Betty Wright.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Betty Wright, and his nephew, William Randall Wright Jr.
He is survived by his daughter, Beth Polson (Chris) of Columbia, MO; his brother, William Randall Wright of Gainesville, FL; and his granddaughter, Madeline Polson. He is also survived by his niece and nephew, Steven Wright and Sara Martinez; great-niece and great-nephew, Chloe Martinez and Damien Ellis; cousins Cheryl Fadler of Columbia, MO, Cammie Ervie of Moberly, MO, and Dennis Fadler of Smithville, MO; along with many other relatives and friends.
Tom enjoyed the simple pleasures in life - fishing, hunting, and most of all, spending time with his family and friends. He will be remembered for his kind heart, easygoing nature, and the joy he brought to those around him.
In lieu of flowers, please honor Tom by performing an act of kindness for someone in need.
Words of comfort and support may be shared with the family at a visitation to be held Friday, November 21, 2025, 11 am - 1 pm, at the Cater Funeral Home Chapel, to be followed by funeral services honoring Tom's life at 1pm. A private committal will take place at a later date.
