Thomas A. Youpel, 83 of Beecher, Illinois passed away October 29, 2025, at his residence, after a long battle with dementia and finally pneumonia.

He was born in Chicago, Illinois on January 28, 1942, s on of the late Harold and Cathryn Youpel. He is survived by his loving wife Sylvia (Nee) Youngren.

Loving father of George (Connie) Youpel, Kathy (the late Lloyd) Miller and Stacy (Benny) Eng.

Cherished grandfather of George (Abby), Caleb, Rylee Youpel and Eden Miller.

Proud great-grandfather of 2.

Dear brother of Andrew (Eileen) Youpel, the late Loretta (Tom) Blaney, and Harold Youpel.

Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Tom proudly served in the National Guard and was a member of the American Legion.

Tom enjoyed playing music. He had his own band, and he played the saxophone. When their youngest was born, Sylvia joined his band and they played in nightclubs on the South Side and then went on the road with their children, dog and nanny.

Tom and Sylvia worked together for many years, not only in the band, but they sold advertising and finally started his own business, with his wife, producing a directory for contractors for almost 30 years.

Their life together was never boring. Tom's legacy of humor, perseverance, and learning will be carried over by those who had the privilege of knowing him. His remarkable life will forever be an inspiration to all.

Tom was passionate, warm, and kind. He will be greatly missed and forever remembered.
