Thouy Syvilaylack Obituary
With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Thouy Syvilaylack, who left this world on November 3, 2025. There are no words big enough for this loss, no way to measure the emptiness left behind. Life without him feels unfamiliar, quieter, and forever changed.
Thouy leaves behind his parents and two sisters who loved him more deeply than he truly knew. To our family, he was not just a son or a brother; he was the one whose presence made everything feel a little lighter, a little funnier, and fuller of love. We will spend the rest of our lives missing him.
One of the most special things about Thouy was his ability to make anyone feel like family. It did not matter how long you had known him he had a gift for making you feel comfortable, welcomed, and genuinely cared for. He had a rare warmth that made people open, laugh, and feel at home instantly. Being around him felt like reconnecting with someone you had known your whole life, even if you had just met. That was his magic.
He was not just our family member; he became everyones son, everyones brother, everyones uncle. Kids adored him. Adults gravitated toward him. Anyone who crossed paths with him felt touched by his presence. That is the kind of soul he had; one that connected effortlessly, one that made people feel loved without him even trying.
Thouy was gifted in ways that came naturally to him. He was a great cook, if you were lucky enough to taste his food, you knew how much love he put into every dish. He was creative, artistic, and imaginative, with a talent for drawing and a mind full of ideas. Whether it was cooking, art, or a new project he dreamed up, he poured himself into everything with heart and intention.
Life without him has changed us in ways we are still learning how to understand. The pain of losing him is heavy, but the love he left behind is even heavier. That love is what we will always carry with us. And though we cannot see him, we feel him in the quiet moments, in the memories that make us smile through tears, and in the love that still surrounds us.
A funeral service will be held at O. R. Woodyard Co. Funeral & Cremation Services, 1346 S. High St. in Columbus, OH on Sunday, November 16th at 2pm, where family and friends will gather to honor the life, he lived and the way he touched every one of us.
Our family will never be the same without you, Thouy. The space you filled cannot be replaced, and the love you gave will stay with us for the rest of our lives. We will always take you with us always.
Forever in our hearts, where your love will always live.
