Thresiamma Antony

Age 82
Beloved wife of Antony Mathew for 55 years. Dear mother of Antony (Mini) Mathew, and Thomas Mathew. Grandmother of Ethan, Nicholas, and Sabrina. Sister of Marykutty, Thomas, and the late Francis, Joseph, Devasia, and Rosamma.
In 1972 she immigrated to the US and worked in Dearborn Heights as a registered nurse for the next 28 years. She worked in Labor and Delivery where she took care of new mothers and their babies.
In her later years, even as she battled her own illnesses, she contributed to many charities, especially ones that helped children.
In her personal life, Thresiamma really enjoyed baking. She was the de facto dessert maker for most if not all family functions. Everyone looked forward to her cheesecakes and any new creations. She loved children, especially her grandchildren, and could easily spend hours entertaining and cooking for them. One of her favorite activities was the occasional trip to IHOP with her grandchildren for breakfast on a Saturday morning. She also kept track of all of their sporting events and musical concerts and attended as many as she could.
Visitation Friday 3pm – 8pm with a 7 pm Syro-Malabar Prayer Service at the John N. Santeiu & Son Funeral Home. In state Saturday 10am until the 10:30 am Funeral Service at St. Thomas Syro-Malabar Catholic Church in Southfield.
