Thurman Lee Glover, a dedicated retired electrician for TVA and a valued member of the local IBEW, passed away on December 24, 2025, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS. He was born on August 23, 1948, in Corinth, Mississippi.
Thurman proudly served his country as a Vietnam Veteran, actively participating as a member of VFW Post #3962 and American Legion Post #0006. His service to his country was a testament to his character and sense of duty.
In his retirement, Thurman enjoyed a number of hobbies and interests. He loved to walk and hike around Shiloh Park, often spending hours exploring the natural beauty of the area. He was a frequent explorer of local flea markets, where he delighted in finding treasures and unique items. A true sports enthusiast, he remained an avid Nascar fan, engaging with the spirit of competition.
Thurman is survived by his sister, Wanda Wright (Tommy); his niece, Shonnie Wright; and his nephew, Shane Wright. He is also remembered fondly by a host of friends and family members who cherished his presence in their lives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Maudie Glover; his brother, Larry Glover; and his sister, Bonnie Weathers.
Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, MS is entrusted with the arrangements. A graveside service will be held in his honor on December 31, 2025, at Shiloh Church in Shiloh, TN, starting at 11:00 AM, officiated by Bro. Billy Glover. Burial will follow in Shiloh Methodist Church Cemetery.
Thurman Lee Glover will be missed deeply by all who knew him. His legacy of service, kindness, and love will live on in the hearts of those he left behind.
