Thuy Tran, 72, of Manchester, NH passed away on Friday, October 3, 2025, at the Elliot Hospital, with her beloved daughters at her side following a short illness.
Born in Vietnam on July 8, 1953, she was the 6th child born to Liem Thanh Tran and Kim Chi Le. Thuy was raised and educated in Binh Duong, Vietnam. Passionate about her education, Thuy attended law school before she met the love of her life, the late To Huu Nguyen.
Thuy was as brilliant as she was kind and generous. She cared deeply for her siblings, their children, and extended family, helping whenever and however she could. Thuy’s heart grew even larger when she welcomed her two daughters, and later, two grandchildren. In 1994, Thuy and her husband relocated to New Hampshire to raise their beautiful daughters. Sharp, determined, and detailed oriented, Thuy reinvented herself in the United States to provide for her family. For 15 years, she worked as a machine operator at Marmon Aerospace and Defense, formerly PMC. In her spare time, Thuy loved to garden and collect antiques, often enlisting the help of her daughters to pick up exquisite finds from Facebook Marketplace. Thuy enjoyed cooking meals from scratch for family and friends, often watching cooking shows to fine tune her recipes. Thuy found great comfort and strength in her Buddhist Faith and enjoyed spending time at Phuoc Dien Temple. Thuy is survived by her daughter, Thanh Truc Huu Nguyen and her husband Duy Sy Tran; her daughter, Thanh Thao Huu Nguyen; her granddaughter, Trishya Thanh Tran; her grandson, Trillyan Thanh Tran; and eight siblings and their families. In addition to her parents and husband, Thuy was predeceased by two siblings. Thuy shared 36 years of marriage with her husband, To Huu Nguyen, who passed away in 2020.
