Tia Meeks Obituary
Tia was born on February 22, 1964 in Angola, Indiana to Sue and Roger Krick. Tia was known for her passion of helping others. She spent most of her days of work as a CNA and absolutely loved what the lord called her to do. Her greatest passion other than her children and her husband was her grandkids. She loved them all so very much. She never missed a school event or a game one of them was playing. Tia was a member of Grace Baptist Church and loved the Lord with all her heart. She had a passion for cooking, every fellowship or get together you would find her the night before cooking until early morning hours and she was known for her pea salad and pecan pie.
Tia is survived by her husband Rayburn Meeks, Nephew Timmy Krick, Daughter Kitra Sutton and husband Scotty of Newcastle, Son Chase Meeks and wife Krystal of Loving. 5 grandchildren: Luke, Brooklynn, Lincoln, Ellie, and Ember. brothers: Dennis King, Kent King, and sister Karen Short.
She was preceded in death by her mother Sue Joplin, her father Roger Krick and her brothers: Robby Krick, Danny Krick, Timmy Krick, Corey Krick, Steve King, Robert King and David King.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Garden Terrace Activities Department.
The family would like to thank Garden Terrace for the excellent care during her rehabilitation stay after her stroke in April 2024, and Beyond Faith Hospice for their excellent care in preparing her for her eternal home.
Family visitation will be Wednesday July 9, 2025 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home.
