As a former US Army, Captain I salute one of the bravest soldiers who ever walked this earth. The torment, torture and hardship you went through is unthinkable. I truly believe you are one of the greatest heroes our country has ever seen. Rest in peace my friend.

A man of great strength, and greater humility and compassion. An inspiration for not only all Americans, but all human beings. RIP, Corporal.

Three weeks ago I was reading the book Single Handed on a beach in Florida. My sister is friend of the author Daniel Cohen. She gave it to me because my husband is a Hungarian immigrant and thought that I would appreciate it. Just this week I found out about the passing of the hero of this book. I feel that I knew him and I wish I had had the opportunity and honor to have engaged in a conversation with this incredible man. A true hero who behaved with such humility. I encourage every American to read his story and be deeply moved.

My wife and I had the honor of meeting Mr. Rubin, his wife and daughter, on a few occasions and each time we walked away keenly aware that we met a very, very, special man. His personal story from Hungary to those selfless moments of heroism in Korea is an incredible journey. With all those experiences in mind, what amazed me most was that he didn't lose his sense of humor. The guy was flat out funny. At least that was my experience. Our heartfelt condolences to his wife and daughter. And Rest In Peace, Teddy, my pal.

Had the honor of meeting this amazing man twice while he was hospitalized at the Long Beach VA Medical Center. He was humble, engaged and very funny. Tibor had a picture of his Medal of Honor ceremony taped on the wall next to his bed. He was the definition of a hero who overcame unspeakable hardship and prejudice without complaint. Cheers to a life well lived. Farewell Tibor Rubin. RIP

I feel such sadness at the passing of Tibor
Rubin. I never met him but we are reading his life story for our Book Club. What a special human being. May he rest in peace.

Rosie we are saddened to hear of your Dads passing. He was a wonderful person in addition to a true hero.
I'll always remember him watering the lawn in those knee high boots.
He would also walk the neighborhood at Christmas time and deliver cookies to all his neighbors. My heart aches for your loss, but his love and treasured memories live on. Our condolences to your family.

Dearest Yvonne and family, I cannot even find the words to express my sympathy for the loss of your beloved Teddy. I will always remember his humor and his heroism. My love and thoughts are with you at this sad time and always.

With deepest condolences to a family my late mom adored. She loved to have the Rubins visit her and thought the world of Tibor from when he was a youngster. His life story is amazing and his loss is profound. A true hero in every sense of the word.

Good bye my friend. We have lost a true American Hero. I am a Vietnam Veteran and I will always remember you and your comrades, you were the last of the breed that really cared for America and its people and knew what had to be done to save a nation and did it. Rest in peace my Hero.

Rest in Peace a humble man who repaid America for giving him hope and refuge by giving America his courage and rescuing from death his fellow soldiers. Shame on his commanding officer for denying Tibor Rubin the recognition which he earned. Justice delayed is Justice denied.

An honorable man whose destiny was fighting for his adopted country ,bravery was his constant companion.Read about this man,google him ,he is the epitome of a HERO. Thank you Mr Rubin for your service & may you rest in peace well deserved
