Newcomer Funeral Home - Southwest Chapel - Grove CityTimothy Alan Boyer, age 72 of Grove City, OH, passed away on August 23, 2025. He was born on September 25, 1952 to the late Robert L. and Mary Maxine (Doss) Boyer in Columbus, OH. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings Terry Boyer, Robert E. Boyer, and Janet Bigelow. Tim is survived by his loving wife of 53 years Susan (Scheel) Boyer, children Rebecca (Wayne) Kintz, Adam Boyer and Jon (Bethany) Boyer, grandchildren Justin Kintz, Nicholas Kintz, Sydney Kintz, Hadley Boyer and Payton Boyer, step-sisters Betty Lee and Peggy Gant.
Tim graduated from Central High School in 1970. He later attended Columbus State Community College where he earned his degree in accounting. He was employed for 25 years at Big Bear and then retired from Franklin County Data Center after 17 years. Tim was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns and The Ohio State Buckeyes. Tim enjoyed hiking and camping in the Hocking Hills region. He passionately loved all his pets. He appreciated the opportunity to talk to people about history and politics. Later in life Tim enjoyed drawing and painting.
Friends may call at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH on Thursday, September 4, 2025 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. Funeral service on Friday at the funeral home at 10:00am. Burial to follow at Oakthorpe Cemetery, Thornville, OH at 12:00pm.
